У трэцім і апошнім томе калектыўнай манаграфіі даследуецца савецкі рознічны гандаль Беларусі ў 1921–1991 гг. і ў першым постсавецкім дзесяцігоддзі, калі рабіліся спробы яго рэфармавання. З улікам існавання планавай эканомікі, вялікая ўвага надаецца вывучэнню палітыкі партыйнасавецкай улады і каманднаадміністрацыйных мер у сферы рознічнага гандлю. Важнае месца займаюць сюжэты, прысвечаныя даследаванню практык захавання прыватнага гандлю, самазабеспячэння і выжывання жыхароў Беларусі ва ўмовах камуністычнага дыктату, нацысцкай акупацыі, Халакосту і постсавецкага эканамічнага крызісу 1990х гадоў. Тут жа падводзяцца вынікі вывучэння ўсёй гісторыі рознічнага гандлю на беларускіх землях. Робіцца перыядызацыя яго гісторыі, выяўляюцца беларускія асаблівасці, этапы фармавання прафесійных гандляроў, паказваецца эвалюцыя ролі дзяржавы, дасягненні і пралікі даследавання. Трохтомная манаграфія можа стымуляваць гісторыкаў да правядзення сацыяльнаэканамічных даследаванняў, яна ўзбагачае сучаснікаў гістарычным вопытам, які дапамагае зрабіць рознічны гандаль больш аптымальным для задавальнення патрэб беларускай дзяржавы і яе грамадзян.

The third and final volume of this collective monograph examines Soviet retail trade in Belarus from 1921 to 1991, and in the first post-Soviet decade, when attempts were made to reform it. Given the existence of a planned economy, considerable attention is devoted to the study of the policies of the party-Soviet authorities and the command-administrative measures applied in the sphere of retail trade. An important place is given to subjects concerning the practices of preserving private trade, self-provisioning, and survival among the inhabitants of Belarus under conditions of communist dictatorship, Nazi occupation, the Holocaust, and the post-Soviet economic crisis of the 1990s. The volume also sums up the results of the study of the entire history of retail trade in the Belarusian lands. It periodizes this history, identifies Belarusian distinctive features, traces the stages in the formation of professional traders, and shows the evolution of the state’s role, along with the achievements and shortcomings of the research. This three-volume monograph may stimulate historians to conduct further socio-economic research, and it enriches contemporary readers with historical experience that can help make retail trade better suited to meeting the needs of the Belarusian state and its citizens.
